The Longest serving member of the Florida congressional delegation, has died today at the age of 84, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Representative Alcee Hastings Sr., has been publicly battling the dreaded disease since January of 2019.

The former civil rights activist, and judge, first began serving in the house in 1993.
