The Comptroller Of Customs Appeals For Compliance As The Division Clamps Down On People Trying To Cheat The System
Head of Customs Raju Boddu says there has been un-informed circulation of information about the division’s recent move to clamp down on fees associated with clearing online purchases.
He says the Customs Department appreciates and encourages those entrepreneurs who have decided to become self-employed; however, they should follow the rules and regulations.
Boddu says that all processes and procedures remain the same; however, Customs is requesting that all original documents be presented.
A new measure of secondary checking has been introduced on the front end and back end of processing to ensure that courier service providers, especially, are making the proper declarations.
