Umberto Schenato Takes The Stand In His Murder Trial…..

There was another major development in the Umberto Schenato murder trial today, with the defendant taking the stand for the first time in the High Court matter.

He claimed his ex-wife attempted to reach for a knife before she was stabbed to death on June 3, 2013.

The 76-year-old who is on trial for the murder of 72-year-old Edda Schenato gave an unsworn statement at the start of the defence’s case Thursday afternoon.
