A Record 53 Candidates Nominated To Contest General Elections

The options have significantly widened for voters who will be going to the polls come March 21.
A record 53 candidates will be getting on to the ballot paper following the activities of Nomination Day on Monday.
The candidates came from the ruling Antigua Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), the main opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) and its affiliate the Barbuda People’s Movement (BPM) and newest political party, the Democratic National Alliance (DNA).
The other candidates represented the Antigua Barbuda True Labour Party (ABTLP), Go Green for Life (GGL) and the Missing Link Voice of the People Party (MLVOP).
An independent candidate was also nominated.
