Youth Ambassador Sensitizing Youth On CARICOM
A national youth ambassador says there remains a lot of work to be done in sensitizing youth on the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and its purpose.
The sentiment comes from Kurt Williams, a member of the National Youth Ambassador Corp of Antigua & Barbuda.
He says the success of CARICOM now falls in the hands of the nation’s youth and it is up to them to ensure that the vision of regional integration becomes a reality.
Fellow member Janelle Walsh says that in her travels within the region, it has become evident to her that work is in progress to debunk public misconceptions relating to CARICOM.
As part of CARICOM day observations, Friday, July 4, the National Youth Ambassador Corps plans to set up an information booth outside The Source clothing store, as it brings the message into the public.
