PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Aug 7, CMC – The main opposition People’s National Movement (PNM) Thursday described as “dangerous’ the proposed amendment to the Trinidad and Tobago Constitution allowing for term limits for prime ministers and the ability to recall legislators.
In addition, the Constitutional Amendment Bill 2014, which will be debated in Parliament on Monday, also provides for a run-off vote in the event that a winning candidate does not achieve 50 per cent of the votes cast in the election.
