The Twin Island State Gets 3 Million Euros Under The 11th European development Fund (EDF)
The twin island state will be gifted with a grant from the 11th European Development Fund under its National Indicative Program.
The grant for 3 million Euros – the equivalent of 10 million EC dollars – is geared towards improving public finance management.
Head of the European Union Delegation to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Ambassador Mikael Barfod, says the move shows that priority is being placed on the government’s overall fiscal strategy.
Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne assured the ambassador that the funds would be used for the benefit of the people. Prime Minister Browne thanked the EU for its continued support to the twin island state.
