Prospective Students Warned To Beware Of Fraudulent Diploma Mills

Prospective students wishing to pursue tertiary studies are advised to contact the Antigua & Barbuda National Accreditation Board for guidance in choosing a learning institution.
The advisory comes from the board’s accreditation officer Eustace Hill, who warns that failure to do so could result in waste of time and money.

The national accreditation board protects against fraudulent diploma mills and provides information on quality and standards.

Executive Director Elouise Hamilton says the body advises on both overseas-based and local institutions.

That stamp of approval must be come from regionally- or internationally- recognized agencies.

The Antigua & Barbuda National Accreditation Board was established in 2006, but actual work began in 2008. Members are launching a new online quarterly newsletter which provides information on the board’s work, as well as general issues of interest in the public.
