AMERICAN PRODUCED VACCINES TO ARRIVE IN WEEKS

The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has been assured 66,000 doses of mixed American produced Covid-19 vaccines will arrive in Antigua and Barbuda within a few weeks.

The highly anticipate Pfizer vaccine is among the batches. The cabinet has indicated it intends to begin vaccination in children as young as 12 years old with parental consent.

The new Delta Variant of the Covid-19 has the capability to infect children and with the reopening of schools mere weeks away, Cabinet aims to create a safe environment for students in the classroom.

Start dates are still unknown but are expected to be announced when the vaccines arrive.
