ANTI-BIOTICS AWARENESS WEEK BEGINS TODAY
The AIDS Secretariat is in the process of finalizing the list of activities to commemorate World AIDS Day.
The occasion will be recognized globally on December 1.
The activities in Antigua and Barbuda will begin on November 28 with a church service at the Ebenezer Methodist Church and culminate on December 10.
Counsellor in the Secretariat, Oswald Hannays, was a guest on Against the Backdrop Monday.
He said emphasis will be placed on getting the youth more involved in the programmes which geared towards sensitizing the public about HIV/AIDS and preventative measures.
He spoke of a unique event, a debate, which is expected to be one of the highlights.
The other events include: a March on World AIDS Day, media appearances, school discussions and two days of activities on the sister isle.
