Antigua And Barbuda Among Countries To Meet With EU On Its List Of Blacklisted Tax Havens
The European Union is convening a meeting this week with representatives of the countries it named to its list of non-cooperative tax havens.
Antigua and Barbuda is among eight Cariforum countries named to the list and which will be sending a representative. According to EU/EPA implementation Officer, Dr Clarence Henry, a representatives from the Antigua and Barbuda High Commission in London will attend the meeting.
According to Dr Henry…the EU’s own tax compliance and monitoring agency, TAXUD, is coordinating the meeting.
The meeting takes place …at the EU headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Last month, the EU published a countries it described as non-cooperative tax havens. The move brought a swift and loud reaction from the countries involved.
