Assessment of UWI Gender and Development Action Plan being Conducted.

The Department of Gender Affairs in association with the University of the West Indies is conducting an assessment of the UWI Gender and Development Action Plan.

Coordinator of the program Gender Development Program at UWI, Fatimah Jackson Best, speaks of the importance of evacuating the action plan.

Public and private sector participants of the program met on Tuesday to discuss the impact of the initiative.

Research Officer, Craig Rijaard, says country participation in the biannual course has proven to have been beneficial for the participants.

Plans are now being finalized for the establishment a new round of work and life skills program in the next two weeks.
