ATTORNEY ANTHONY ASTAPHAN RESPONDS TO ESCROW ACCOUNT FOR ALFA NERO SALE PROCEEDS

Senior counsel, Anthony Astaphan disagrees with the suggestion for the Government to consider putting the proceeds of the sale of the Alfa Nero yacht into an escrow account.
He also says the authorities are on sound legal footing with the Port Authority Amendment Act, which is providing the legislative anchor for the pending auction of the vessel. Astaphan explains the Government has received crucial input from prominent attorney on maritime law, Paul Reichler.
