Caught With Firearm

In other police news law enforcement officers arrested James Edward Peloguin, 54, of Piney Flats Tennessee, for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Reports are that the US citizen was found with a .380 Ruger Pistol, along with seven matching rounds of ammunition in his checked-in luggage at the V. C. Bird International Airport.
Police said airport security made the discovery during a routine security scan of the passenger’s luggage. The matter was reported to the police and he was taken into custody and charged.
Peloguin arrived in Antigua shortly after 3 pm on Saturday aboard an America Airlines flight from Miami, and was destined to Montserrat aboard a Fly Montserrat flight, later that afternoon.
To date, the police have removed nine illegal firearms and well over 300 rounds of ammunition off the streets.
