CDC To Make Payments In September
The Carnival Development Committee (CDC) has indicated that all payments to artistes, vendors and service providers will begin on September 1.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the CDC said that vendors and service providers should submit their invoices to their respective CDC subcommittee chairpersons for approval.
Once that process is completed, CDC stated that all invoices should then be submitted to the National Festivals Office on or before August 18, for smooth account processing prior to payment.
This is the first time in several years that service providers will receive early payments for work carried out during the annual summer festival.
Previously, the CDC has had extreme difficulties paying carnival prize winners and service providers in a timely manner, which sparked discontentment among participants.
