Cedar Grove Social Club Planning Village Reunion

The Cedar Grove Social Club is planning its first ever village reunion in an effort to reach out to past and present members of the community.

The club is organizing a week of activities leading up to the grand event, beginning August 3.

Secretary of the club Glennette Matthew outlines what’s planned for the special occasion.

President of the Cedar Grove Social Club Ezra Knowles says the village pageant aims to highlight Cedar Grove’s rich history as well as groom prospective candidates for Miss Antigua & Barbuda.

Segments will include Research, Talent, Interview and Evening wear.

The Cedar Grove Social Club members are asking residents to look out for them this Saturday, as they will lead a float featuring the contestants through the community.

Another highlight on the calendar is the banquet.

Club members say they are committed to making a difference in their community socially, financially and environmentally. They are currently raising funds for construction of a community centre
