CONDOR TO RESTART WEEKLY FLIGHTS TO A&B
Tourism officials are expecting an increase in arrivals from the European market, as Condor is to restart weekly flights later this year.
Between November 5 this year and May 6 next year, a weekly Condor service will connect Antigua to Frankfurt, Germany.
The Tourism Authority says officials welcomed the news on day one of the tourism trade fair, ITB.
Chief Executive Officer of the ABTA, Colin C. James is quoted in a media release as saying this flight not only solidifies this country’s ties with the German-speaking market but also serves as a vital gateway from Central Europe to Antigua & Barbuda.
The new aircraft has a capacity of 310 passengers with 30 business class seats and 64 premium economy seats, which the Tourism Authority says is ideal for Antigua and Barbuda’s target audience.
In a move aimed at sailing enthusiasts, the extended flight schedule will culminate during the iconic sailing week, ensuring access for European sailors and yachting aficionados alike.
Flights to Antigua with Condor can be booked starting as early as March 7.
