Construction of New Heart Center Begins in May
Construction of the New Human Entrepreneurship and Assistive Resource Technologies (HEART) Centre that will cater to the needs of individuals with special needs will begin shortly.
Telecommunications Minister Senator Dr. Edmond Mansoor says the project has received Cabinet’s approval, and construction of the facility will begin on May 15th, with financial assistance from Telecommunications Company, LIME.
The centre is expected to contain therapy, braille, instruction and diagnostic rooms, all connected with the latest in information/communication technology.
Dr. Mansoor adds that government is designing a facility that will cater to the developmental and educational needs of those with challenges are it physical or otherwise.
He stresses the importance of catering to the needs of the differently able in society.
