COUNTRY TO CONFER DAMEHOOD ON DR RUBY LAKE-RICHARDS

Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne says Antigua and Barbuda will confer Dr Ruby Lake-Richards with the title of Dame.
Dr Lake-Richards is among the first cohort of medical students who attended The University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica in 1948.
The institution was then the University College of the West Indies.
UWI conferred an Honorary Doctor of Science degree on the 99-year-old alumna Saturday.

The Prime Minister was speaking on his weekly radio programme ahead of the Dr Lake-Richards special convocation service.
