Meantime, President of the Caribbean Congress of Labour, David Massiah, says after the workshops, the process of social dialogue will be institutionalized in participating territories.
He adds that Wednesday’s meeting in Antigua and Barbuda is symbolic and historic.
Massiah says it provides the ideal platform for both employees and their representatives to engage in talks in a common forum.
He notes that this will increase representation at Caricom and other regional integrated bodies.
The Caribbean Congress of Labour President says at the end of the three-year process, regional and national organizations will be self-sustained.
