Key Stakeholders In The Tourism Industry To Receive Basic Training In Specific Languages
Service Ambassadors and other key stakeholders in the Tourism industry will receive basic training in specific languages this year.
The man at the helm of the nation’s cruise tourism association, Nathan Dundas, says discussions are ongoing with the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute to conduct foreign language classes to facilitate communication with visitors.
He adds that a challenge when some vessels are in Port is the language barrier between residents and tourists.
Dundas says a basic syllabus will be formalized to facilitate the training, which is expected to begin in the slow season.
