The Creative Industries Ministry has sought to clear the air regarding the basis for its format change in the upcoming Calypso Monarch Competition. Each contestant will perform one song, as opposed to the two in previous years.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Creative Industries Ministry, Senator Shenella Govia has provided the rationale for the move, even as veteran calypsonian Eugene ‘Kaseba’ Silcott insists more notice should have been given.
