NO ADVERSE CONDITIONS FROM VACCINE
As the Health Ministry prepares for the roll out of Phase 2 of the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, Deputy Chairman of the National Technical Working Group on Covid-19 Vaccine Dr. Courtney Lewis says the country has not recorded any adverse reactions to the Covid-19 vaccine.
Speaking on Antigua Barbuda Today, Dr. Lewis explains there is a misconception circulating within the public as to what is considered an adverse reaction.
Fevers, aches and pains he says are normal reactions to vaccines, as the body develops an immune response to the virus.
The Government began phase 1 of its inoculation programme last month where it administered roughly 27,000 doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
