NYAHBINGHI THEOCRACY CHURCH SCHOOL OPENS
Today marks a proud and major milestone in the lives of the Nyahbinghi Theocracy community, with the official opening of the Nyahbinghi Theocracy Church School (NTCS).
It was a long and arduous task but finally a dream come through.
Teaching of the young in the community began in 2002 when two students from the community attending Jennings Secondary left school and began home schooling their siblings.
The community grew and schooling continued in the tabernacle until 2011 when a wooden building was constructed.
Construction of the new edifice began in July last year.
ABS’s Cherilyn Beazer was there for the opening of the school built by national housing and development, and shares this proud and life changing event.
The facility will also provide protection for the community serving as a hurricane shelter.
