PARLIAMENT APPROVES SOE EXTENSION UNTIL JUNE

Parliament’s Lower House has given approval for the extension of the state of emergency for another three months.
The resolution passed in Parliament this afternoon sets the expiration date for the measure as June 28 this year, or if Parliament decides to end it sooner.
There was vigorous debate as government members responded to what they considered specious arguments from the opposition.
