PM Browne To Meet With Bau Panel Principals

Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne is to meet with principals of Bau Panel to reach a mutually beneficial place in the land deal sealed by the previous administration, instead of taking the judicial route.

Talks will centre on the agreement between the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHAPA) and Bau Panel to construct homes in Antigua.

Government believes the agreement is more in favor of Bau Panel than CHAPA.

Lands for the Government’s affordable housing “500 homes in 500 days” have been tied up with Bau Panel Company, which had signed an agreement with the former administration.

The Government has since placed a caution on all Bau Panel properties.
