PM SAYS MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE IMMINENT; NEW PUBLIC SECTOR WAGE TALKS TO BEGIN SHORTLY

Antiguans and Barbudans earning minimum wage are set to see more on their pay cheques.

Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Hon. Gaston Browne has announced his administration is again preparing to increase the national minimum wage.

He also says negotiations are to begin shortly for another round of public sector salary increases.

The disclosures come as the nation basks in the continuing expansion of the economy, with a 6 per cent growth in real Gross Domestic Product recorded last year.
