PM Spencer Pleased With New LIAT CEO
Prime Minister the Hon Baldwin Spencer is hoping that the newly appointed CEO of LIAT would use his expertise to put the carrier on a more sound footing.
British national, David Evans’ appointment comes at a time when the airline is experiencing serious financial challenges, and his responsibilities are being viewed as enormous.
Prime Minister Spencer, whose government is the second largest shareholder in the regional carrier says the experience possessed by the former British Airways executive, is critical to the airline’s future survival.
David Evans’s appointment comes into effect on 22 April, 2014.
He takes over from Acting CEO Julie Reifer-Jones, who assumed the position following the departure of Captain Ian Brunton last year
He is described as a results driven executive with more than 35 years of experience in senior roles within the aviation industry.
