PM Spencer will Not be Pressured
Prime Minister, the Hon. Baldwin Spencer says that the opposition Antigua Labour Party supporters’ picketing his office on Friday would not pressure him into naming the date for the general election.
The Prime Mister has said that he has no problem with the picketers adding that it is their demotic right.
Addressing supporters of the ruling United Progressive Party (UPP) on Thursday night, Prime MinisterSpencer, reiterated that the announcement for the date for the polls is being held up by two court matters initiated by the opposition ABLP.
But Prime Minister Spencer told UPP supporters that the opposition party is free to hold their picket adding that the twin island state is a free and democratic society.
The ruling administration is seeking a third consecutive term in office.
