Prime Minister Brown Expresses Condolences To The People Of China
St. John’s, Antigua – Prime Minister, the Hon. Gaston Browne has expressed condolences to the Government and People of China following an earthquake which has resulted in more than 600 deaths.
In a letter to the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Prime Minister Browne stated that Wednesday was declared a day of mourning in the twin island state.
This has been described as an act of sympathy with the People of China, who have lost loved ones and have suffered great pain as a consequence of the natural disaster.
Browne also expressed hope that China will have a quick recovery and gave the assurance that his government is ready to assist in any way possible.
