Prison Weapon Surrender
Only four days shy of a month at the helm of the prison, Superintendent Albert Wade says he has already gained the trust and confidence of the prisoners without a heavy-handed approach.
This, he says, was accomplished by developing a good rapport with the prisoners byallowing them to air their concerns.
The prison boss has even succeeded in getting the inmates to voluntarily surrender their weapons.
According to the superintendent, he has advised prisoners that the amnesty will run up until the New Year,after which if they are foundwith any contraband, the full force of the prison rules will be brought to bear on them.
