PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYERS TO PAY HALF OF COSTS FOR THEIR WORK EXPERIENCE INTERNS

Private sector employers who want to continue having the services of individuals on the work experience programme, will now be required to contribute to paying them.
Cabinet made the decision at its meeting this week.
Meanwhile, Information Minister, the Hon. Melford Nicholas says the private sector, and the hotel sector in particular, needs to create better-paying jobs.
He says this will ease the rush on the public sector for employment.
