PUBLIC SAFETY MINISTER PRAISES EVERTON JEFFERS AHEAD OF TOP COP APPOINTMENT

Attorney General and Public Safety Minister, Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin says Acting Commissioner Everton Jeffers is best suited to be the new Police Commissioner.

Sir Steadroy was speaking exclusively to ABS News Tuesday afternoon following the confirmation by Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne that Jeffers is to be confirmed in the post.

He will succeed Atlee Rodney who departs to assume a senior role in the Regional Security System, RSS.
