SECOND MURDER RECORDED

29 year old Carissa Chandler, an employee of State Insurance Company Ltd is the second homicide victim for the year. She was fatally shot allegedly by her spouse at their Barthley’s Apartment residence in New Winthorpes around 4am Thursday. Police say the two had been having an argument. Chandler is the daughter of well-known cricket and horse racing enthusiast, ‘Spliff’ Anthony.

Her 44 year old spouse, Tedson Knowles, is now in Police custody, as is the weapon allegedly used in the homicide.

ABS news understands that Knowles drove her to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police are making a fresh appeal to members of the public in the wake of this incident. Law enforcers are urging people to contact the Domestic Hotline at 463-5555 to resolve domestic disputes. Contact may also be made with the nearest police station or 911
