SENATE PASSES RESOLUTION FOR ACQUISITION OF CANCER CENTRE; TWO OPPOSITION LEGISLATORS ABSTAIN IN VOTE
Parliament’s upper House has approved a resolution to allow for the Government’s compulsory acquisition of the Cancer Centre Eastern Caribbean Limited.
The administration says time is of the essence as it moves to save lives.
Two of the three opposition senators in the chamber at the time of the vote, abstained; the other voted against the resolution.
