Senator Collin James Is Seeking To Establish A Youth Development And Scholarship Fund Within His Constituency

Caretaker for the All Saints East and St. Luke constituency, Senator Collin James, is seeking to establish a youth development and scholarship fund within his constituency.

The funds will be used as part of efforts to assist outstanding students within the community.
Senator James says the main goal is to provide financial support to eligible students who intend to further studies at tertiary institutions, locally.

Speaking to ABS News James says the Launch of the scholarship fund will be held during the second week of January, 2015, and some 200 students between the ages of 13 and 18 will be specially invited to the forum.

According to the senator, he has been in dialogue with principals and teachers of schools within the constituency to ascertain the names of the scholars.

As part of the fundraising drive, a J’ouvert will be held on New Year’s Day Thursday, within the community, and a sports and games day on Saturday among other activities – all geared towards the scholarship fund.
