Street Naming Progresses

Antigua and Barbuda is progressing with its island wide Address System and street naming project. District Officer of Local Government Adelza Sheridan, speaks of an awareness drive which will commence on Thursday.

Sheridan adds that in addition to assisting with the naming of the streets, some persons in the communities have purchased signs. Land Information Technician Survey Department, Sidra Samuel explains the role the Columbian and Mexican governments will play in the house numbering exercise.

The team was expected on island this week to continue site visits and should return in November to conduct training with the different departments involved.
