West Indies are in command of the first test against Zimbabwe, thanks to a strong batting performance in their first innings.
Tagenarine Chanderpaul amassed an unbeaten 207 and Kraigg Brathwaite scored 182, and in the process, eclipsed the West Indies record partnership of 298 between Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes against England in Antigua in 1990.
They also became the first opening pair to bat more than 100 overs in a Test innings, since Sri Lankans Marvan Atapattu and Sanath Jayasuriya against Pakistan 23 years ago.
