The Lower Houses Passes A Measure That Imposes A Charge Against Inbound Calls Into Antigua And Barbuda
Parliament passed a measure last night that guarantees funding for entrepreneurship development here in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Telecommunications Tax 2017 was introduced by Prime Minister Gaston Browne and it imposes a US5 cent charge on inbound calls to Antigua and Barbuda.
Prime Minister Browne says it was a creative means by which the economy can experience further expansion.
Prime Minister Browne reminds that residents will not be impacted by the tax; it will be the overseas carriers that will have to pay.
