“THE PLAN MAKES A LOT OF SENSE” – FORMER PM BALDWIN SPENCER BACKS EDUCATION PLANS FOR FIVE ISLANDS

Former Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer has thrown his support behind the Government’s plans to develop an education hub in the Five Islands community.
He acknowledged his initial opposition to the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus being established at the site of what had been earmarked for a secondary school.
However, he told a public consultation on Thursday evening he fully supports the plans outlined, which include the US$75M expansion of the UWI campus.
