TOURISM SECTOR SETS NEW RECORD IN APRIL 2023

Last month was the best April on record for Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism.
The revelation comes from Tourism Minister, Hon. Charles Fernandez, who tells ABS News the numbers outstripped the figure for April 2019, which was the previous record.
The 56,813 cruise arrivals last month represented an 18 per cent increase over April 2019.
The 28,197 air arrivals last month was a 17 per cent increase, compared to the same month in 2019.
The minister says 2023 is also on track to surpass 2019’s figures for the full calendar year.
