UNVACCINATED US FEDERAL EMPLOYEES TO FACE TESTING REQUIREMENT

US President Joe Biden is expected to announce tomorrow a requirement that all federal employees and contractors be vaccinated against COVID-19.

CNN is citing sources who say if they do not, they will be required to submit regular tests and meet mitigation requirements.

Meanwhile, New York City’s Mayor Bill de Blasio has recently declared new mandates for city workers.

California’s Governor Gavin Newsom has also made a similar policy for state and healthcare workers.

Back in New York, the city’s Commissioner for the Office of Labour Relations Renee Campion says employees who don’t comply with the new rules will be put on leave without pay.
