UPDATE ON BULK WASTE COLLECTION
The national bulk waste clean-up moves into its final phase with zone 8 on Friday.
In a new development this evening, National Solid Waste Management Authority General Manger Daryl Spencer says there could possibly be an island-wide re-collection.
Spencer says to date the authority has collected over 17 million pounds or 78 Hundred tons of bulk waste in Antigua and they are looking to continue the collection schedule in Barbuda.
He says at the end of this programme, the goal is to have removed all the accumulated bulk waste on the island.
So you are encouraged to call 562-1347 and utilize the services for bulk waste collection NOW.
Further collection of Bulk waste after the NSWMA closes the program will come at a cost to residents.
