Williams on School Meals Programme
Minister of State responsible for the School Meals Programme, the hon. Winston Williams believes that with the joint collaboration between the Ministries of Health and Agriculture, the success of the initiative will be far reaching.
Williams says the School Meals Programme has grown leaps and bounds since its inception in 2006.
He adds that as the program continues to expand, more children will be blessed with the opportunity to have a healthy meal during the day.
Williams also commends the Ministers of Health and Agriculture for their role, as they partner in the Zero Hunger initiative.
He says the Hon. Hilson Baptiste has worked hard to advance agriculture in the twin island state and is respected by many around the region.
Williams adds that the FAO assistance is needed to fulfill the vision of the School Meals Programme, which is to have all primary schools in Antigua and Barbuda on board.
