150 lbs of Cannabis Seized

The Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) in conjunction with the Antigua and Barbuda Defense Force Coast Guard have seized one hundred and fifty pounds (150 lbs) of compressed cannabis.

In an operation conducted on Tuesday the law enforcement officials seized a vessel in the English Harbour area with bags of the illegal drugs onboard.

Five persons are presently assisting the ONDCP with investigations.

Three (3) of the five (5) persons who are Vincentian nationals will be charged for entering the country illegally.

The vessel found with the drugs has been seized pending further investigations.
