A Fire Of Unknown Origin Destroys A 3-bedroom House On Whenner Road

A fire of unknown origin has destroyed a 3-bedroom wooden house on the Whenner Road.

The owner, Hugh Joseph, reported to the police that he left his home early afternoon to get something to eat. Not long after he received a phone call from a neighbor who reported this his house was on fire.

Joseph rushed back to the scene and as the fire tender arrived to extinguish the flame…it was too late to save the structure. The houses was destroyed but the firemen were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.

There was no electricity attached to the house and it was uninsured.

Joseph was the sole occupant of the house.

It was the 123 fire call for the year.
