Angry Consumers Protest Store

On World Consumer Rights Day in Antigua & Barbuda, at least one customer had issues with service provided from a merchant.

Cleon Athill – in her capacity as a consumer – led a demonstration outside a business place on the corner of High and Thames in protest of what she deemed poor service and racist remarks.

Saturday’s protest, which began around 10 am, attracted several supporters of Athill’s cause. She says the issue at hand was not only the return of her money but offensive comments with racist overtones that were hurled at her during an exchange.
