Breast Friends To Host Walk For Cancer Awareness

As Breast Friends continues its efforts to bring awareness to the disease in Antigua and Barbuda a walk will be held on Saturday May 10.

President Breast Friends Eunetta Bird says there are different types of breast cancers.

According to Bird, breast cancer does not always manifest itself in a lump and details other warning signs.

Bird encourages women to do regular checks to include self examination from age 20, mammograms for women over age 40 and those under 40 with a strong family history to discuss when to begin screening with their doctor.

Registration for the breast cancer awareness walk can be done at Bank of Nova Scotia or any Digicel office at only EC$50 which includes a t-shirt and breakfast.
