OAS OFFICIAL CALLS FOR MORE REGIONAL DATA ON DRUGS

Strong policy making is one of the region’s best responses to the problem of illegal drugs.
That’s the opinion of Anegla Crowdy; Assistant Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD), who was in Antigua and Barbuda for a national workshop.

She says this data can be sourced through surveys, though these are costly.

The OAS official tells ABS, training in combatting drug-related challenges is also lacking across the region.
