PM Browne Speaks On Plans For Heritage Quay

Plans are in motion for the expansion of the nation’s Port and Heritage Quay locations.

Prime Minister the Hon Gaston Brownesays he will be travelling to China in September to close off on a number of agreements relating to the project.

He adds that talks are expected to involve a 10 million US dollar Grant from the Chinese towards the upgrade of the country’s main docking facilities.

Meantime, Prime Minister Browneannounced that the Port Authority could see a profit from operations and commended the staff and new Executive Chairperson of the Port Authority, Mary Clare Hurst, for their role in improvements.

The PM says officials have put in place a port development plan and it has proven to be very beneficial.

The Port and Heritage Quay expansion is slated to commence 2015.
